Get Specialized Help When It's Time For Service.
It takes a new breed of technician to service today's vehicles. Professionals who are as handy with a computer and electronics as they are with a socket wrench and screwdriver.
The technicians at our dealership are part of this new breed. Many join our team already well- equipped, with at least an associate's degree or a Certificate in Vocational Automotive Education, $15,000 to $25,000 in personal tools, and Technician Certification from the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Then their real training begins.
From nuts and bolts to bits and bytes
Attending one of the 27 state-of-the-art Chrysler Academy Training Centers, they receive personal training from expert instructors. It's an intense program, with 70 percent of each technician's time dedicated to hands-on training. Studying 10 core competencies, including engine repair, transmissions and electrical systems, technicians learn to troubleshoot and repair every aspect of every Dodge vehicle, so they're fully prepared to apply that knowledge to yours.
In addition to honing their mechanical skills, technicians learn how to use the electronic diagnostic tools so important to servicing today's vehicles. One key tool is MDS2. Part library, part doctor and advisor, part test center, MDS2 hooks your vehicle's onboard computers to Chrysler's vast technical resources, helping the technician fix your vehicle right and fix it fast.
The technician's education continues even after leaving the Training Center. Every month, as part of Chrysler Academy's Master Tech program, our technicians receive a videotape and test which reviews the latest repair procedures. And every year, most technicians receive additional technical update training. In fact, with the type of skills, tools and training at hand, today's average Chrysler-trained technician possesses a level of technological sophistication simply unavailable 10 or 20 years ago.
